My relationship with sneakers wasn’t always as friendly and loving as it is now. I almost never wore them (except for solely sport purposes). I had a fleeting affair with a white and blue pair of Adidas kicks when I was in high school; other than that, and I’ve been wearing high heels most of the time since my university epoch and up until about five years ago. Then lots of things in my life have been shaken up… For instance, I quit my office job, I became more concerned about my health, I started to explore other wardrobe options, because I wanted to try something new. As a result, my opinion on sneakers changed, a lot. The only things that stayed the same are the algorithm of choosing and ways of wearing them – like a pair of heels or elegant flats. I buy sneakers not just for comfort, but only if I feel they’d also compliment my outfits. I wear them as design items, not as workaday shoes. And I would never buy a pair which wouldn’t make my legs and feet look their best.
Now my collection of sneakers is quite big and diverse. Leather, canvas, suede, rubber, fabric, high-tops, low-tops, tennis shoes, basketball shoes, running shoes, wedges, flats, you name it… And here is the latest addition to my wardrobe! Please welcome! I love them!
